VaJaHa Foundation has taken a significant step towards promoting sustainable development in South Asian countries by organizing a conference in Bhutan. This event aims to foster collaboration and innovative solutions to address the region’s pressing environmental and socio-economic challenges.

The VaJaHa Foundation has brought together thought leaders and experts for a conference in Dubai, focusing on the dynamic rise of Global India. This event serves as a platform to discuss India’s growing global influence and its impact on the world economy and geopolitics.

TRACK SUIT DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM

2024.

VaJaHa (Vana Jana Hakka) Foundation in collaboration with Rotary Club of Nagpur Metro had track suit distribution programme for the cricket playing girls from Siddheshwari Gond Basti. Hon’ ble President Dr Shirpurkar, Secretary Adv Ashish, Rtn Mr Satish Dande and Rtn Sandhya Dande, Coach Mr Khushal, Dr Sandeep from SBCT College and Rtn Keshav Walke, Director, Vajaha Foundation were prominently present. Dr Shirpurkar, shri Anil Deshmukh and Prof Keshav Walke contributed for the track suits. About 23 girls got benefited with the track suits and more than 60 boys and girls from the community got motivated from the programme.

SPECIAL HEALTH CHECK FOR BLOCKFOOT, LIP PALET AND CLEFT PALET CHILDREN

Jan.07,2024.

Special Health Checkup Camp for clubfoot, lip palet, cleft palet children organized by VaJaHa (Vana Jana Hakka) Foundation in collaboration with Surgery Care Foundation at Z P School Kurkheda in Gadchiroli District. Today it is diagnostic camp based on which in next month surgery camp will be organised. In Kurkheda Taluka it is estimated that there are about 172 patients in the Kurkheda block. Both the organisations planned to have such surgical camps in each block of the Gadchiroli District. Dr Ashish Koreti, Dr Prashil Kumar and Prof Keshav Walke all from VaJaHa foundation, Dr Naeem, Mr Vinay, Mr Sagar (Surgery Care Foundation) worked hard for the success of the camp.

SPECIAL HEALTH CHECKUP CAMP ON CONSTITUTION DAY

On the occasion of Indian Constitution Day we VaJaHa Foundation, Nagpur in collaboration with Rotary Club of Nagpur Metro, Vidarbha Tribal Doctors’ Association (VTDA) and Swami Samarth Netralay, Nagpur celebrated Constitution day with preamble reading, general health check up and special eye check up program in Siddheshwari Gond Basti, near Bhagwati Nagar, Chikhali Road Nagpur. During the camp free medicine and spects were distributed. Basti is 100% Gond Tribe settled about 27 Years before. Prof Keshav Walke from VaJaHa Foundation, Dr Ashish Koreti, Dr Prashil Kumar Uikey from VTDA, Dr Shyam Babhulkar, Dr Kiran Saoji, Dr Sachin Dhomne, Dr Manohar Muddeshwar, Adv Mahesh Singh, Ttn Sunil Thakur, RTN Ramesh Borkute, Mr Aware, Mr Mundle Adv Gaidhane, Mr Patne from RC of Nagpur Metro and Mr Mohan Kharabe from Swami Samarth Netralay & his team with my special volunteer Sagar Kohchade, Naushad, and others worked hard for the successful organisation of the camp. Before starting the camp two green boards donated by RC Nagpur Metro President Mr Avinash Deshpande were hand over to the community centre to be used for running the educational activities in the communities. More than 200 general patients and about 50 opthalm related patients took benefit of the camp. 28 Specs were distributed at the free of cost.

REUSABLE CLOTH DISTRIBUTION

Reusable clothes distribution in Siddheshwari Gond (Tribe) Community, Sheshnagar, Nagpur. Cloths were collected from community people and were distributed among the young boys , girls, men and women. About 60 people took benefited. Dr Avinash Deshpande, President, Rotary Club of Nagpur Metro supported the event.

BHUTAN CONFERENCE

“Sustainable Development in South Asian Countries: Present Status, Issues & Challenges”

 

7-14 JUNE,2023.

  •  Interdisciplinary International Conference was organized jointly by VaJaHa Foundation,
    Nagpur, Tirpude College of Social Work, Nagpur, Maharashtra Association of Social
    Work Educators (MASWE) and Norbuling Righter College, Paro, Bhutan. It was held on
    11th June 2023. The theme of the conference was “Sustainable Development in
    South Asian Countries: Present Status, Issues and Challenges”.
    The students of Norbuling Righter College presented beautiful welcome dance, earlier
    the conference commenced with singing national anthem of both the countries.
  • For inaugural -Dr Tandin Dorji, President, Norbuling Rigter College, Paro, Bhutan was
    chief guest. During his speech he spoke on overall position of Bhutan regarding
    sustainable development goals. He also took appraisal of the achievements and facts.
    He mentioned that Bhutan has 60% forest cover, wild life is also protected and
    education to all is the goal of Bhutan. He proudly claimed that Bhutan is champion as
    far as sustainable development goals are concerned.
    Chairperson was Dr Swati Dharmadhikari, Principal, TCSW, Nagpur. She empahasized
    that there is a need of addressing the issues of sustainable development as we owe
    good future to our younger generations, she particularly focused on inculcating healthy
    habits relevant for it.
    Keynote speaker Prof. Ambadas Mohite, Founder President, MASWE comprehensively
    took review of world scenario regarding sustainable development goals by giving
    statistics particularly on South Asian countries .
    Master of Ceremony was Prof Keshav Walke, Director,VaJaHa Foundation and Vote of
    Thanks were proposed by Mr Sanjay Fulkar, Secretary, MASWE.
    Technical Session I was chaired by   Dr Prakash Katare, Former Dean, Dept of Social
    Work, SRTM University, Nanded, India. In this session 8 Papers were presented.
    Session II, Dr. Saurabh Basu, Senior Faculty at NRC, Paro, Bhutan chaired the
    session in which also 8 Papers were presented.
    For Valedictory Chief Guest was Dr Karma Drukpa, Dean Academic, NRC, Paro and
    was chaired by Prof Ambadas Mohite, Founder President, MASWE, India. Dr Karma
    Drukpa in his candid speech spoke on importance of addressing issues affecting
    sustainable development. In his power point presentation he focused on multiple
    dimensions of development and did mention that Bhutan considers Indians as brother.
    He specially mentioned the long associations between the two neighboring countries.

  • Health Checkup at Pipriya Village, Ramtek Block,Nagpur

  • Health Check up program on 1st January 2023 at Pipriya Village in Ramtek Block of Nagpur District. More than 200 patients took benefit of the camp. Dr Dilip Kumre, HoD, Dept of Ophthalmology, Govt Medical College, Chandrapur, Dr Wasudeo Wadive and Dr Tejram Bhalavi, THO from Parseoni Taluka supported for the Camp. Free Medicines were distributed.

    Social Work, Chandrapur, India, VMS Research Foundation, Nagpur, India, Brisbane
    Institute of Strength Base Practice, Australia, Dr. C. D. Deshmukh Commerce & Sau. K. G.
    Tamhane Arts College, Raigad, India, Priyadarshini J L College of Engineering, Nagpur is
    organising Interdisciplinary International Conference- 2022 during 20-24 November 2022 in
    Dubai. The Theme of the Conference is “Rising of Global India: Aspirations, Possibilities
    and Challenges”.
    Dr. Mustafa Taherali Sassa, Hon’ble Chairman & Managing Director, Raj Group of
    Companies, & General Secretary Dubai Chember of Commerce, Dubai-UAE was Chief
    Guest at the Inaugural function. Dr. Sanjay Dudhe, Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor, RTM
    Nagpur University, Nagpur was guest of honor and keynote speaker. Introduction of the
    guests was done by Dr Atul Bobadey, Joint Secretary of IIC-2022. Introductory remarks was
    given by Conference Director and Director Wajaha foundation, Nagpur Prof Keshav Walke.
    Principal, SRM College of Social Work & Convener of the conference Dr. Sunil Sakure
    gave a welcome speech.
    There were two technical sessions one was chaired by Dr Anil Patil and Prof Ghanshyam
    Yelne. In total there were 75 participants from India and abroad. In total 36 papers were
    presented.
    Dr. SHRIRAM KAWALE, HON’BLE PRO-VICE CHANCELLOR, GONDWANA
    UNIVERSITY, GADCHIROLI was CHIEF GUEST key note speaker at the valedictory function
    of the Conference. DR K. J. CHERIAN Hon’ble Ex- Principal, DRB Sindhu Mahavidyalay,
    Nagpur was guest of honor. Conference Director Prof Keshav Walke introduces the guests at the
    valedictory. Feedback from the two participants was taken for the improvements in the next
    conferences to be organized. VaJaHa Foundation conferred six Awards as Best Research Paper,
    Best Researcher to the paper presenters. Dr Vinod Gajghate, Dr Pragati Narkhedkar, Dr
    Atul Salunke, Dr Anil Patil, Dr Mubarak Quereshi and Dr Gunwant Gadekar were
    conferred with the awards.
    Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Ashish Lambat, Organizing Secretary IIC-2022 at
    Inauguration and Valedictory both.

Life On Wheel

PREM (People for the Rescue & Education of Mankind):

  • A group of educated volunteers settled in different parts of the world with passion of Paying Back to the Society motive.
  • ‘Life on Wheel’ a concept by Dr Bhaskar Halamifrom USA for reaching to the unreached people from remote villages in Kurkheda block of the Gadchiroli district during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • VaJaHa (Vana Jana Hakka) Foundation collaborated with PREM in ‘Life on Wheel’ Project by providing a Van t free of Cost. Service started on experimental basis from Chandala -Gadchiroli-Pipartola route on 11.06.2021 and from 18.06.2021 it was started in the remote area routes like Chirchadi- laxmipur-lendhari-Bhategaon- kurkheda-purada-yengalkheda-jambulkheda-gurnoli-gewardha-visora-shankarpur-desaiganj-bramhapurietc.We would continue this servicetill 15th October 2021 by rendering our services in 33 villages in more than 4 months.
  • We could help more than 250 patients mainly Kids and Pregnant Women. During this period of service nearly 50 volunteers gave their selfless services in the project. These volunteers were Engineers, Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Professors, Foresters and students.
