VaJaHa Foundation: Nurturing Change, Touching Lives

VaJaHa (Vana Jana Hakka) Foundation, is a non-profit organization dedicated to tackling social and environmental challenges in rural Nagpur. Focused on advocating for the rights of people and forests, it raises awareness about the Forest Rights Act (FRA), safeguards child welfare, and encourages sustainable living. The organization provides education, vocational training, and medical assistance, while also promoting mindful food consumption through its “Don’t Waste Food Campaign.” Foundation also undertakes initiatives in afforestation, water conservation, and climate resilience to combat environmental degradation. Through community-driven projects, it empowers individuals to adopt eco-friendly practices such as sustainable farming and renewable energy use.

The foundation is equally committed to addressing health disparities by organizing medical camps, distributing free medicines, and raising awareness about preventive healthcare. Organization works tirelessly to uplift marginalized communities, protect natural resources, andfoster a sustainable, balanced environment for future generations.

Our organization was incorporated on August 22, 2022, under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, as a non-profit entity focused on social welfare and environmental conservation. The organization operates under License No. 120044 and has the Corporate Identity Number (CIN) U85300MH2020NPL344235. The Foundation is committed to pursuing its objectives without any discrimination based on caste, creed, sex, color, or religion, ensuring that its initiatives promote equal opportunities and welfare for all. At present Vajaha foundation is working in urban and rural areas of Nagpur and Gadchiroli Districts and dealing with FRA awareness and Health with education.

The Project Help Desk at Nagpur is a collaborative initiative of Vajaha (Vana Jana Hakka) Foundation with Azim Premji Philanthropic Institute. The main purpose of the project is to provide socio-legal intervention and rehabilitation options to those getting caught within the Juvenile Justice System (JJS) in collaboration with the existing functionaries through Help Desk .

The organization is committed to fostering widespread societal benefits through its comprehensive approach, involving the provision of donations, endowments, and diverse forms of assistance to individuals, public charitable institutions, societies, and cultural organizations, among others, whose missions align with the foundation’s overarching objectives. Additionally, the organization actively engages in fundraising activities and readily accepts monetary contributions, grants, and diverse forms of property or securities, thereby facilitating the seamless management and transfer of endowments or trust funds, all within the purview of the organization’s mandate and mission.

BHUTAN CONFERENCE

Interdisciplinary International Conference was organised jointly by VaJaHa Foundation, Nagpur, Tirpude College Of Social Work, Nagpur, Maharashtra Association of Social Work Educators (MASWE) and Norbuling Righter College, Paro, Bhutan. It was held on 11th June 2023. The theme of the Conference was “Sustainable  Development in South Asian Countries: Present Status, Issues and Challenges”. For Inaugral-Dr. Tandin Dorji, President, Norbuling Rigter College, Paro,Bhutan was Chief Guest.

Health Checkup

Health Check up program on 1st January 2023 at Pipriya Village in Ramtek Block of Nagpur District. More than 200 patients took benefit of the camp. Dr Dilip Kumre, HoD, Dept of Ophthalmology, Govt Medical College, Chandrapur, Dr Wasudeo Wadive and Dr Tejram Bhalavi, THO from Parseoni Taluka supported for the Camp. Free Medicines were distributed.

Reusable Cloth Distribution

Reusable clothes distribution in Siddheshwari Gond (Tribe) Community, Sheshnagar, Nagpur. Cloths were collected from community people and were distributed among the young boys , girls, men and women. About 60 people took benefited. Dr Avinash Deshpande, President, Rotary Club of Nagpur Metro supported the event.
